Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinators
ProActiv People Solutions are a WorkCover SA approved provider of the 3 day Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator training package.
The South Australian Government recently passed some legislative amendments to the WorkCover Scheme.
From 1 January 2009, employers who employ more than 30 workers are required to appoint trained rehabilitation and return to work coordinators in accordance with Section 28D of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1986.

Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator Training |
ProActiv People Solutions in association with Pegasos Training Services have been contracted by WorkCover SA as an approved provider to deliver the Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator training for all South Australian employers with 30 or more employees. This training is integral to the success of each Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator in the timely and durable return to work of their injured workers.
If your levy is 4.5% or higher (High Risk) you are required to complete the full three day program.
If your levy is less than 4.5% (Low Risk) you are only required to complete Day 1 of the three day program
We provide the required core training and refresher/advanced training programs to employers both in metropolitan and regional South Australia.
This course provides the Return to Work Coordinator with the skills and knowledge to manage work place injuries, the return to work process and to develop effective communication skills so that they can achieve EARLY, SAFE, and SUSTAINABLE return to work outcomes.
This training is a three day training program which will cover:
- How to identify, access and understand relevant current legislation governing Workers Compensation in South Australia
- The functions and requirements of a Return to Work Coordinator
- How to coordinate the return to work of an injured worker
- Knowledge of injury and return to work management
- How to communicate effectively with injured workers and key stakeholders
- Understanding of medical terminology
- How to effectively monitor the return to work to ensure the ongoing success and sustainability of return to work
The Return to Work Coordinator Training is conducted by approved provider ProActiv People Solutions in association with RTO Pegasos Training Services.
